BEFORE DAWN Blu-Ray Review: Jordon Prince-Wright’s Serviceable WWI Epic

Before Dawn is a new WWI epic drama, directed by Jordon Prince-Wright who co-wrote the script with Jarrad Russell. The film stars Levi Miller as Jim Collins, the son of an outback sheep farmer who decides against the wishes of his father to join the ANZAC Corps in the fight against the Nazis in France. The result is a cataclysmic journey of tragedy, dark reflection and bravery chronicling the near-900 day endeavor as we watch Jim tackle the dogs of war, measuring his own courage and ideal school of thought against an environment encumbered by a survival-first instinct. This aspect of the story is explored aptly through brewing tension between Jim, and Thomas Nickles (Travis Jeffery) following a mission gone wrong resulting in the death of Travis’s brother, Harry. BEFORE DAWN: Catch The Trailer For Jordon Prince-Wright’s New WWI War Flick

July 19 will see the theatrical and digital release of Jordon Prince-Wright’s new war drama, Before Dawn. The film stars Levi Miller, Travis Jeffery, Myles Pollard, Tim Franklin, Jordan Dulieu, and Peter Sullivan, along with Ed Oxenbould and Stephen Peacocke. After leaving his family’s sheep farm in the Australian outback, a young man joins his countrymen on the western front of World War I with hopes of helping expedite an end to the bloody conflict. But as war rages on, he is forced to grapple with the brutal realities of trench warfare, including a near-constant battle to keep himself alive—without leaving another man behind.
