THE HIT LIST: October 2, 2017

I find myself taking more weekends off these days. I’ll be doing more of this as it’ll give me more time for movies to enjoy. Some I’ll review, like this one, which was very good and you can find it now on Netflix. Others you’ll likely find on YouTube or Vimeo and we’ve got a variety from both platforms now piled on for this week’s gathering of badass stunt reels, shortfilms and promotional goods known aptly as The Hit List! We’re getting things started this week with updated reels by prominent stuntman Jude Poyer, Paul Varacchi and John Kreng via Vimeo. Those who often attend film festivals may be familiar with the work of filmmaker Paul Nicoletos, best known for delivering recent notable short films like the sci-fi thriller, Icarus Down, and last year’s sci-fi action hit, Kill Shelter. Nowadays, he and producer Viet K. A Reluctant Soldier Leads The Fight Against An Alien Invasion In The New Shortfilm, KILL SHELTER

Film writer and producer Viet Huynh took to YouTube this week to finally release his latest project, a contained sci-fi action horror thriller, Kill Shelter. Directed, edited and co-written by Paul Nicoletos, the shortfilm stars actor Billy Bussey and young actress Charlotte White in a story that takes place in an apocalyptic future where Earth is taken over by aliens and mankind is chained and prisoned liked animals until they are exterminated. Shot on location at the abandoned Linda Vista Community Hospital in Los Angeles, California in 2011, Kill Shelter was originally intended as a pitch to possible backers for hopeful feature film. The shortfilm eventually made its way to the film festival circuit, garnering several nominations, including three awards at this summer’s Action On Film festival.
