[UPDATED] BLOODSPORT Reboots In 2014, KICKBOXER Also Set For A Reboot
It’s been a few years since we have heard anything follow up from the announcements that the 1988 film, Bloodsport would get a revamp from Relativity Media, to be produced by Edward R. Pressman. Reports are now circulating that James McTeigue will direct helm the film in Austrailia as of Spring 2014, focusing on the life mercenaries who collide with the world of underground Brazilian Vale Tudo fighting, where it is just as what the name means: Anything goes. McTeigue‘s credits include, but are not limited to, the 2009 action adventure, Ninja Assassin, and the 2005 futuristic thriller, V For Vendetta. The film was previously announced back in 2011 with a story by Taken writer Robert Mark Kamen and Salt helmer Phillip Noyce about an American who escapes to Brazil to help deal with the violence in Afghanistan.
