Blue Fox is poised to release Year 10 theatrically and on VOD from December 6. The post-apocalyptic thriller stars Toby Goodger, Duncan Lacroix, Hannah Khalique-Brown, Luke Massy, Emma Cole, Alexander Anderson, King Gayle, Jessica Zerlina-Leafe, and Tom Gaskin, and is written and directed by Ben Goodger. 10 Years after the fall of civilization, cannibalism has become the only option for humanity’s dwindling survivors. When a violent tribe murders his father and steals the medicine keeping his love interest alive, our protagonist must embark on a treacherous journey battling the elements, packs of vicious wild dogs, and the cannibal group, or else lose the only thing he has left. As a small courtesy, I’m just going to mention here that there’s a mid-credits scene in Lee Sang-yong’s The Roundup: No Way Out, which connects straight to the franchise’s latest entry. That would now be The Roundup: Punishment, with the undoubted reunion of leading man Don Lee and character actor Park Ji-hwan for another rippling crime story ripe with rib-breaking action and laughs to boot. During the investigations of a drug trafficking app, the Monster Cop Ma Seok-do (Don Lee) and his team discover a connection between the wanted app developer, who was killed in the Philippines, and a massive illegal online gambling organization. Meanwhile in the Philippines, Baek Chang-gi, a former elite soldier, has been controlling the Korean online illegal gambling market, terrorizing it with kidnap, assault and murder. His partner, the IT genius CEO, Chang Dong-chul plans an even larger scheme in Korea. To put an end to […]
Nilalang director Pedring Lopez made a killing earlier this year with the local and subsequent global release of his Spring female-fronted thriller, Maria. That film is now slated for a sequel that is expected to roll cameras early next year, while the noted horror and action director has since planted one other seed in Blue Fox Entertainment title, Escape. Penned by Lopez and screenwriter Scott Rosenfelt (The Jade Pendant) from a story by Michael A. McDermott, Escape centers on John Craig, a former black ops soldier with a penchant for going beyond the law. When the mother of a young teenage son falsely imprisoned in Manila summons him to the job of extracting him, Craig and his team plan the ultimate escape – one from both the rising tensions in Manila, and the demons of John’s past. Lopez, who signaled fans on Instagram on Thursday, teased the project in a […]
If foreign zombie thrillers are more your speed, expect your summer get a little better with the forthcoming arrival of Dominique Rocher’s The Night Eats The World. Blue Fox Entertainment has reportedly nabbed U.S. rights to the French/Norwegian pic as it segues to an English-subbed North American premiere in Tribeca this weekend with Blue Fox rolling out its genuine English-language version later this year. Tribeca programmer Matt Barone sets the tone: One night, Sam attends a raucous apartment party in Paris. But, pressured to show up against his will and not feeling festive, the dejected Sam heads to a private room and falls asleep. The next morning, everything has changed: The walls are stained with blood, there isn’t a living soul in sight, and the dead have taken over the streets. Barricading himself inside, he hunkers down for safety, anticipating a long haul. As the undead congregate outside, Sam passes […]
