BANDIT: Josh Duhamel Is On Call In A First Look Photo From The New Heist Thriller

Currently underway is the production of heist thriller, Bandit, based on author Robert Knuckle’s best-selling novel and journalist Ed Arnold’s interviews with Gilbert Galvan Jr, who lived under the name Robert Whiteman when he was dubbed the Flying Bandit in 1987. Worldwide sales agent Highland Film Group has just released the first look photo above from the new film featuring actor Josh Duhamel (Paramount’s Transformers franchise) in the title role. Duhamel is also joined by headliners Mel Gibson, Elisha Cuthbert and Nestor Carbonell, with Allan Ungar (Gridlocked) directing from a script by Kraig Wenman. ASSAILANT Sees A Couple On The Run In The First Look Photo From The New MSR Media Thriller

Principal photography just wrapped on the Caribbean Island of Nevis for upcoming suspense thriller, Assailant, which has a new first look photo to check out above. Written and directed by Tom Paton (400 Bullets, G-Loc), Assailant stars Poppy Delevingne (Twentieth Century Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle) and Chad Michael Collins (MSR Media’s One Year Off, Sony Pictures’ Sniper). The film centers on an embattled couple going through marriage counseling who decide to head to the Caribbean on a “make or break them” sailing holiday to heal wounds. Actor Jon Abrahams (Scary Movie, House Of Wax) hit the sales floor at Cannes this month with his new directorial effort, Exploited. Darclight Films is repping international sales on the new psychological thriller which also has a first look photo available just above. Written by 12-time Tony Award winner and film producer Carl Moellenberg (Wakefield) and Anthony Del Negro (Lazy Susan, Anarchy Parlor), Exploited is a provocative story of obsession set on a college campus against the backdrop of a voyeuristic hacker. Premiering Out Of Competition at Cannes next week is The King helmer Han Jae-rim’s newest thriller, Emergency Declaration. The latest international teaser trailer is making the rounds from the reps at Showbox, with actors Song Kang-ho (Parasite) and Lee Byung-hun (Ashfall) top-billed to head the story of passengers aboard a plane forced to declare an emergency when an unprecedented terror occurs in flight. That’s pretty much it for the logline too, and the rest is up to what you can gather from the footage being offered, on top of the poster which you can view below. There’s unrest, upheaval and the constant threat of imminent danger that lends a lot to pick apart here. Acquisition news remains pending so don’t wait up too long, but keep this one on radar for sure.

Gerard Butler Action Thriller CHASE Launches At Cannes For Voltage And CAA

Principal photography has since wrapped in Savannah, Georgia on action thriller, Chase, as of May, and with word out of Cannes that Voltage Pictures is repping international rights and will introduce to buyers immediately, with first-look footage to follow shortly. Voltage will co-rep US rights with CAA. Chase comes from director Brian Goodman (Black Butterfly, What Doesn’t Kill You) from a script by Marc Frydman (Black Butterfly), and stars Gerard Butler (Greenland, Angel Has Fallen, 300) as Will Spann, who pairs with the in-laws to engage the local Sheriff’s department in a frantic effort to find his missing wife, Lisa, when she disappears at a gas station without a trace. As the clock ticks, suspicion falls on Spann who must take matters into his own hands, plunging into the town’s criminal underbelly while running from the authorities in a race against time to find Lisa. THE YACHT: Voltage Nabs Rights For New Ruby Rose Action Thriller Ahead Of Cannes

Currently in post-production is Declan Whitebloom’s debut feature, The Yacht. The new action thriller starring Ruby Rose (The Doorman, Vanquish), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Daniel Isn’t Real, Echo Boomers) and Frank Grillo (Beyond Skyline, Boss Level) has been acquired by Voltage Pictures for international sales and will be presented to buyers at the upcoming Marché du film, which runs from June 21st through the 25th. Saban Films will release the film in the United States. Billed as a high-octane and tense action-thriller in the mold of Die Hard and Panic Room, The Yacht follows a tenacious and troubled young woman who inherits a luxury yacht from her estranged father and has to fight to survive when it gets hijacked by thieves.
