THE HIT LIST: November 13, 2017

Friday night marked another big event weekend in which I had the opportunity to partially partake. A night of festive dining, laughter and comeradery that felt all too short for me, though I managed to fend off the sleep deprivation for a whole day to write about it. This week’s installment of the Hit List is packed with a fresh new load of film, stunt and screenfighting talent and much more. My weekend saw a MAJOR curveball regarding my android phone, folks. So, if you’ve been following me on Instagram and haven’t heard anything, now you know why. Needless to say, I have somewhat returned to normalcy and, preferably, in kickass fashion with The Hit List. Actor, stuntman and stunt coordinator John Kreng lights things up this week with an illustrious new work reel chock-filled with stunt action and interview segments he’s done over the years with the likes of Cynthia Rothrock, Benny “The Jet” Urquidez and Keith Vitali. It’s been another amazing year of presenting independent action to help their respective creators attain bigger audiences. There were a few that were supposed to come out by now, but unfortunately some of those (as usual) tend to take longer, whether or not they have to do with post-production or other plans for allocation. Maybe 2015 will bring better, much deserved prospects. Action films need to get better, and the folks included in this week’s Hit List are just a handful of people worthy to help in this cause. Cedric Tellier's Action Short, LA CASSE Gets A Hard-Hitting Teaser

Indie filmmaker and actor Cedric Tellier has a clear eye for cinematic action, as well as the muscle to show for it on all fronts, and on both ends of the camera as well. He conveyed this very fact in my eyes when I first saw his work on his early 2014 short, Elit Unit, done on a zero-budget with a year of post work before its airing. As of late, Tellier is out with a new teaser for another little up-and-coming video – one of a few projects between now and hopefully before the end of next month. This one is called La Casse, accompanied by fellow actor Kevin Remy and shot in a day and a half in a junkyard, leaving plenty of room for some huge leaps, hard falls, big kicks, and some notable collateral damage along the way. ELIT UNIT Pits Soldier Tactics Against Lady Ninja Prowess

It’s been two years since Marseilles-based independent filmmaker, martial artist and action actor Cédric Tellier picked up a camera and moved ahead with the production of his new shortfilm, Elit Unit. As per usual with many indie-made shortfilms of its kind, this one has had its share of hurdles along the way, particularly stemming from being a zero-budgeted project. Nonetheless, as experimental as it is, and gathered from what has been previously offered in several teasers since over a year ago, Elit Unit is just the latest embarkment for Tellier toward something much more ambitious. There’s nothing really expository here, but the new shortfilm does serve its purpose, combining a dystopian, graphic novel look with some contemplative moments in between to accompany its gritty SWAT action, all direced and choreographed by Tellier. Fists, Kicks And Machine Gun-Fu Thrills Set Up New Teaser Footage For ELIT UNIT

An independent performer and stuntman since 2005, actor and action director Cedric Tellier has his own independent film group, Ced-Creaction, based in Marseille, France where he currently teaches kung fu to over 800 students. Tellier is also looking to further showcase his craft this week with a new teaser for with his latest passion project titled Elit Unit. As of February, there are now three early teasers available on Tellier’s YouTube channel showcasing what is to come, particularly for fans who are into action scenes that contain a dynamic formula that incorporates hong kong action, with stylistic gun-fu and bullet ballet, performed by Tellier along with rising newcomer, actress and martial artist, M-Lee, in addition to several other members of Tellier’s team.
