In that time, I’ve had the privilege of reviewing some pretty good screeners, one of which recently brought me into the throes of actor, filmmaker and fight choreographer John Soares. Not to be outdone by his talents, anyone within conversational reach of Soares will gather his modesty and humility almost instantly. At the same time, strike up a conversation with him on film and you’ll find yourself sitting with one of the most inspired up-and-comers to date.
