Redbox Takes North America For Western Thriller, THE LAST SON

Donnybrook helmer Tim Sutton’s new western, The Last Son, is currently selling hard for multiple buyers via the Cannes market this week. The film, starring Sam Worthington, Colson Baker, Thomas Jane, and Heather Graham has since landed home at Redbox Entertainment for North American rights from sales agent VMI Worldwide; Other territories include France (Ace Entertainment), Italy (Blue Swan), German-speaking Europe (Constantin), Australia/New Zealand (Defiant Screen Entertainment), Middle East (Phoenicia Pictures International), and Africa, Benelux and Turkey (SPI International). Set in the Sierra Nevada in the late 19th century, THE LAST SON centers on Isaac LeMay (Worthington), a murderous outlaw cursed by a terrible prophecy, hunting down his offspring to prevent his own murder before targeting his son Cal (Baker). ONE WAY: Highland Scores Multiple World Sales On New Action Crime Thriller

Zone 414 helmer Andrew Baird’s new action thriller, One Way, landed multiple deals on Tuesdsy. Highland Film Group is handling worldwide sales rights on the film which stars Colson Baker, Kevin Bacon and Storm Reid. The latest round of international sales includes deals with Splendid Film (Germany and German-speaking Switzerland), Cinemundo (Portugal), Rialto Distribution (Australia and New Zealand), Blue Swan Entertainment (Italy), MCF (Ex-Yugoslavia), Just Media (Benelux), Monolith Films (Poland), MGN (Russia and Baltics), Eagle Films (Middle East), Moviecloud (Taiwan) and FilmFinity (South Africa). Thomasville Pictures is producing One Way which sees Baker in the role of Freddy, fatally wounded and on the run from his former employer’s cash after a robbery gone awry and managing to slip onto a one-way bus route. Machine Gun Kelly (The Dirt, Project Power) are set to star in the new action-thriller One Way, from director Andrew Baird (Zone 414). Ben Conway penned the script with principal photography set to begin in January 2021. In One Way, Freddy (Baker) goes on the run with a bag full of cash and cocaine after a robbery of his former crime boss goes wrong.
