Folks who regularly kept up with my weekly heyday installments of The Hit List might remember the name Rissy Dollins popping up on occasion. Nowadays you’ll find her etching her way from stunt work and well into the director’s chair having long since got the ball rolling on Cross Bite, a new Western revenge thriller which Collins spent decades conceiving and eventually putting pen to paper on, before finally bringing her ideas to the set roughly six months ago. Cross Bite is a western adventure story in the tradition of Tombstone and the Deadwood series. When weapons trickster Jed and timid Teddy set out to join Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, the notorious Durango Diamondback Gang blurs the line between virtue and vengeance.
