THE HIT LIST – December 29, 2014

It’s been another amazing year of presenting independent action to help their respective creators attain bigger audiences. There were a few that were supposed to come out by now, but unfortunately some of those (as usual) tend to take longer, whether or not they have to do with post-production or other plans for allocation. Maybe 2015 will bring better, much deserved prospects. Action films need to get better, and the folks included in this week’s Hit List are just a handful of people worthy to help in this cause. Brady Merriman launches his aerial assault in the new Project Rize action short, THE INFLUENCE Further updates are pending regarding independent filmmaker Danny Vega‘s upcoming feature-length action crime thriller, A Dance With The Devil. In the meantime, he has offered a brand new experimental shortfilm creation via his YouTube platform, Project Rize in the form of The Influence. While Vega directed and filmed the project, the concept mostly belongs to one of its performers, up-and-coming actor and stuntman Ben Aycrigg, who previously appeared several weeks ago in a new year kick-off test fight short promoting fellow Florida action stalwart, David Conk’s new team, Wolf Stunts. For The Influence, Aycrigg choreographed the action imitating a mild hybridization of swashbuckling swordplay and kung fu, which isn’t so bad from an independent piece and is fun to watch any way you slice it. A Second Teaser Launches For A DANCE WITH THE DEVIL

The new teaser launched over the weekend for writer, producer and director Danny Vega‘s new independent gritty action crime thriller, A Dance With The Devil. A production of Vega’s camp, Project Rize, the new feature film represents one of the latest efforts in action cinema brewing within Florida’s independent film scene going into 2014. A Dance With The Devil is now aiming for a summer premiere with principal photography still on-going. The film stars Vega along with actors Reko Rivera, Joshua Lamboy and Jimmy Dempster, with an appearance by actor and stunt coordinator Anthony Giovanni Elias. A Dark Ultimatum Looms For An Aspiring Criminal In The New Teaser For A DANCE WITH THE DEVIL

The new teaser trailer has arrived for the upcoming independent feature-length action crime drama, A Dance With The Devil. The footage comes a month after exclusive action footage premiered online back in late July, featuring the film’s co-star, Reko Rivera, and action performer, stuntman and Team Genesis’s own Anthony Giovanni Elias. Starring lead actor, writer, producer and director Danny Vega, the film is an original property from newly established independent filn group, Project Rize, and one of several current projects steamrolling Florida’s brewing independent action film scene as of late. Also starring are actor Joshua Lamboy and actor Jimmy Dempster who is currently filming the upcoming independent action crime shortfilm, The Trade with director Gerald J.
