SOLOMON KING: Sal Watts’ 1974 Classic Gets 4K Restoration For Re-Release This Summer!
Adding to their specialty slate of restored classics this year, Deaf Crocodile Films is proudly signaling moviegoers with an introductory Before-And-After look at footage of multi-faceted actor, producer, writer and director Sal Watts’ long-lost, independently-financed and produced Black urban crime/action flick, Solomon King. Deaf Crocodile is now plotting a festival debut to inaugurate its circuitry, with its re-release TBA for a theatrical run, as well as on Blu-ray and Digital. “Don’t you suckers know the days of Uncle Remus and Old Black Joe are gone?,” barks ex-CIA operative /ex-Green Beret/nightclub owner Solomon King to a group of Black gang members at the Sugar Hill Club in actor/director/writer Sal Watts’s long-lost Black urban crime/action film.
