THIEVES HIGHWAY Hits The Road For Jesse V. Johnson’s New Crime Thriller

Avengement and Triple Threat helmer Jesse V. Johnson will next direct crime thriller Thieves Highway. The film stars Devon Sawa (The Fanatic, Gasoline Alley), and also reteams Johnson with actor Aaron Eckhart (Chief Of Station), along with 308 Enterprises own Corey Large (One Ranger) who is producing. Johnson is directing from a script by Travis Mills, the story of an Oklahoma Stock Detective (Eckhart) in over his head in the “Breaking Bad” world of modern cattle rustling. Kirk Shaw (The Hurt Locker, Papa Hemingway in Cuba, Extraction), Jordan Nott (Assassination) and Jon Keeyes (White Elephant) are exec producing. BondIt Media Capital and Pink 308 will finance. Bruce Campbell Fights a Different Kind of Zombie in BLACK FRIDAY

The King of Camp and master of undead disaster Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Lolipop Chainsaw) returns to the screen once more to defend his workplace against the undead. This time, however, he’ll have help! Black Friday is headed to theatres and on-demand in November from Screen Media Films. The film is directed by Casey Tebo (Happy Birthday, Barely Legal). Starring alongside Campbell is Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Death Rider in the House of Vampires) , Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite, Mortal Kombat: Rebirth), and Ivana Baquero (The Shanara Chronicles, Pan’s Labyrinth). Director Casey Tebo’s latest narrative sci-fi, Black Friday, is now filming in Boston with word from Deadline‘s Tom Grater. The film hails from Warner Davis Company and MFW Productions with a script by Andy Greskoviak, and actor Bruce Campbell headlining the film alongside Michael Jai White and Devon Sawa. Set on the busiest shopping night of the year, Black Friday, the story follows a group of disgruntled toy store employees who have to defend themselves from legions of holiday shoppers when a mysterious alien parasite sends them on a murderous rampage. The cast also includes Ivana Baquero, Ryan Lee, and Stephen Peck. Campbell made the festival rounds here as the central figure in Steve Villeneuve’s most recent documentary, Hail To The Deadites, which will release on a date TBA from Indiecan. There’ll be several options going into next year for moviegoing if you enjoy the actor on screen, as Momentum Pictures recently snagged the rights to his new action crime thriller, Disturbing The Peace. The official trailer has arrived to start things off along with a theatrical, digital and VOD release set for January 17. A small-town marshal who hasn’t carried a gun since he left the Texas Rangers after a tragic shooting must pick up his gun again. This time to do battle with a gang of outlaw bikers that has invaded the town to pull off a brazen and violent heist. Shackleton directs from a script by Chuck Hustmyer, and with Devon Sawa, Kelly Greyson, Michael Sirow, Barbie Blank, Jacob Grodnik, Michael Bellisario, Dwayne Cameron, Elle E.
