DIABLO opens on June 13, starring Scott Adkins, Marko Zaror, and Alanna De La Rosa
On this platform, we’ve been closely following the development of this project since its inception. A project that is now a reality, and that moviegoers finally will be able to enjoy this summer. Directed by Chilean director Ernesto Diaz Espinosa (Kiltro, Fist of the Condor), the film marks the third collaboration between Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror in the roles of protagonist and antagonist. A reunion that sounds like a celebration for fans of the genre after the joys both stars gave us in the past in essential films like Undisputed III and Savage Dog. The trailer gives a sneak peek at the martial arts and ballistic spectacle that Diablo promises, with Adkins as the central axis of the action, promising to quench the thirst of action movie fans. The main attraction is a new duel between Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror. After his release from prison, one man makes […]
How’s this for another ‘triple threat’ of sorts? Actors and action superstars Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror will reunite for Diablo, from director Ernesto Diaz Espinoza, which rolls cameras later this year in Chile. The film teams Adkins up for the first time with Espinoza who has collaborated with Zaror on several genre hitmakers, firstly collaborating on 2006’s Kiltro which launched the Chilean martial arts star to leading man stardom. Deadline’s Zac Ntim reports: Plot follows Kris Chaney (Adkins) who, after being released from prison, embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster. Her father, Vincent, puts out a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive. El Corvo (Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family. Kris must […]
If you’re keeping up count with upcoming Westerns as we head into the new year, feel free to count in director Lawrence Roeck’s latest, Diablo. Actor Scott Eastwood propels the new Western thriller alongside Danny Glover, which earned its praise at this year’s San Diego Film Festival before being acquired by Momentum Pictures and Orion Pictures last month. As such, we now get a trailer now shows plenty of what made the film so worthy. Bearing father Clint Eastwood’s own film legacy in mind, clearly Diablo serves as a suitable successor for genre upon its January 8 theatrical and digital release. SYNOPSIS: A young Civil War veteran named Jackson wakes up to find his beautiful wife kidnapped by a band of ruthless bandits. With killers around every corner, the lines begin to blur between who the good and the bad are, including Jackson. As a final gunfight looms for our hero […]
City On Fire recently reported the upcoming street date for the Spanish-language spaghetti-western action crime thriller, Diablo, co-written, produced, edited and directed by Argentinean filmmaker Nicanor Loreti. The film was also written by co-producer Nico Galvagno, co-editor Martin Blousson and Javier Diment, as well as produced by Hernán Findling, Boikot Films. From the trailer itself, the film looks very impressive and fully loaded with enough action, danger, bullets and fisticuffs to entertain audiences. Being that the film is an award-winner, I suspect we will continue to hear good things about Nicanor Loreti in future films to come. SYNOPSIS: A depressed former champion awakes. He´s tired, a bit out of shape, and his conscience is drilling him. His career as a boxer ended abruptly when he killed his rival with one single punch.
