THE FURIOUS Doles Out The Fury In A Pair Of First Look Stills At Kenji Tanigaki’s New Martial Arts Thriller
A new Variety exclusive is out as of Friday along with a pair of official stills to help announce the completion of upcoming martial arts thriller, The Furious. The Bangkok, Thailand-set production is directed by action specialist Kenji Tanigaki (Enter The Fat Dragon, Sakra) and features a pan-Asian cast including mainland Chinese star Xie Miao, Indonesian star Joe Taslim, and Thai star Jeeja Yanin, along with Yang Enyu, Brian Le, Joey Iwanaga, and Yayan Ruhian. Tanigaki directs from a script by Mak Tin Shu, and follows a simple tradesman (Xie Miao) who fights his way through a complex web of criminals and evil agents in a frantic attempt to win back his kidnapped daughter by any means necessary. CYBERHEIST: Don’t Miss The Official Trailer For The Digital Thriller Starring Aaron Kwok
The progession of Danny Wong’s latest thriller, Cyberheist, has been interesting to observe as previous trailer uploads saw it as Disconnect’d. At any rate, the film now has a March 9 release in Hong Kong and a solid trailer now available through Edko Films Ltd. who are also handling world sales on the pic excluding Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Macau. A cyber security engineer develops an AI program that could bring down the entire network with catastrophic effects. He must prevent it from falling into the wrong hands and causing irreversible disaster. Cyberheist stars Aaron Kwok, Gordon Lam, Simon Yam and Megan Lai, and is produced by Soi Cheang.
