Lucasfilm Announces New STAR WARS Creative Team For Expanded Universe Storytelling

In the last 24 hours, all news on Star Wars got epic. Galactically epic. Franchise father, filmmaker and sci-fi auteur George Lucas’s original six-film canon (1977-2005), paved the way for a lot of potential stories that panned out in the form of books, video games and other TV series that would collectively be known as the “Expanded Universe” or EU. In light of all this, Lucasfilm and Disney officially put the word out on Friday that they have launched a new creative team that will not only oversee all forms of near-limitless storytelling and media moving forward (which will be non-canonical to the current six-film canon), but will preserve the EU as it continues to flourish in the years to come with a variety of expansive Star Wars content.
