Just as much as 2013 became a year loaded with action movie news, it also became a year of video game movie announcements, with such titles moving forward in development for the big screen as Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Spy Hunter and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider to name a few. But the industry is not done aiming to impress consumers yet, according to a new report swirling around the internet regarding the much-anticipated E3 ’12/’13 title favorite, Watch Dogs. The Heat Vision column at THR states that Sony Pictures Entertainment, New Regency and the motion pictures branch at Ubisoft are collaborating to bring the game to life in feature film format, focused on the story of a hacker on a mission to avenge his family.
