London’s Arrow Video FrightFest kicks off on August 23 at the Prince Charles Cinema with several program announcements to follow. One such update came on Thursday courtesy of Jonathan Barkan at Dread Central with an exclusive first trailer for Tom Paton’s martial arts-induced John Carpenter/H.P. Lovecraft hybrid, Black Site. A young woman is forced to push past her worst fears and battle to deport an ancient entity back to where it came from. Set inside an underground military base known as The Artemis Black Site, the movie mixes an Escape From New York style survival story with Lovecraftian elements and large scale mythology building. Paton directs from his own script debuting martial artist and actress Samantha Schnitzler in her first feature film role.
