Former mixed martial arts fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano has had a pretty steady career elevation in the world of action movies with a string of appearances in films such as Blood And Bone (2009), Haywire (2012), Fast And Furious 6 (2013) and her recent solo performance in John Stockwell’s In The Blood with actors Cam Cigandet and Danny Trejo. With a superheroine movie also in the works from comic book creator Rob Liefield’s for Avengelyne, we still have tons to look forward to. Gina Carano Spills As Much Red As She Needs In The New Trailer For IN THE BLOOD

In the midst of a her transition from professional MMA fighter to cinematic action heroine, actress and martial arts Gina Carano has already appeared in three films and is soon set to star in her own comic book movie based on creator Rob Liefield’s Avengelyne, in addition to being rumored for a role in producer Adi Shankar’s Female Expendables project. Before then, she will appear in director John Stockwell‘s upcoming action thriller, In The Blood, where she sets out on a dangerous mission to find the men responsible for her husband’s disappearance during their Caribbean vacation. In The Blood is written by Bennett Yellin and James Robert Johnston and also stars Danny Trejo, Stephen Lang, Luis Guzman, Amaury Nolasco and Cam Gigandet. Gina Carano Expresses Her Inner Fantasies In A New FAST AND FURIOUS 6 Featurette

Yahoo! Movies has a new featurette for the upcoming film from Universal Pictures, Fast And Furious 6, directed by Justin Lin, and opening in theaters on May 24, 2013. The clip shows actors Luke Evans , Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano discussing their respective takes on the physicality of their characters, including Rodriguez and Carano who go toe-to-toe in what has been described as the female equivalent to the action sequence between Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The sixth installment of the action packed, NOS-loaded franchise also stars Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot and Elsa Pataky, with appearances by Rita Ora and a possible cameo role as the villainous precursor to Fast And Furious 7, played by Jason Statham.
