If you were to tell me at some point last year that a sequel to Ron Howards’s explosive suspense thriller, Backdraft, was gonna get a sequel nearly three decades later, I would have probably looked at you like you needed an intervention. That being said, low key productions that habitually don’t catch on seem to be the case, particularly for Gonzalo López-Gallego (Apollo 18, The Hollow Point) who now sits at the helm for Backdraft 2 heading to Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital. Catch The New Trailer For Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s THE HOLLOW POINT

Following its premieres at Bilbao and Edinburgh, director Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s latest, The Hollow Point has since been acquired for U.S. release from Vertical Entertainment. A December 16 theatrical and digital release is up for the film which brings Ian McShane back to Western territory, and no less with a real world issue that serves up its fair share of intensity and tumult enough for a worthy cinematic venture. via First Showing: After being involved in fatal run-in with a gun smuggler, Leland (Ian McShane) is replaced with a new sheriff, Wallace (Patrick Wilson). Wallace’s reign won’t be any easier, though, especially once the cartel starts striking back against law enforcement in a small town along the U.S. & Mexico border.
