Darc and Wake Of Death actor Tony Schiena is getting his start in directing with the release of his first flick, The Weapon, from a script by Michael Caissie. Boasting a cast that also lists Sean Patrick Flanery, Cuba Gooding Jr., Donald Cowboy Cerrone and Richard Greco to name a few, the film will release theatrically, on Digital and On Demand from February 17, followed by DVD on March 28. The film also stars AnnaLynne McCord, Bruce Dern and Jack Kesy. DEAD MAN’S HAND: Grindstone Nabs Newly Wrapped Western Revenge Thriller From ‘The 2nd’ Helmer
Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired the North American rights to Dead Man’s Hand, the new Western thriller that just completed production in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Pic hails from Milestone Studios and stars Stephen Dorff (HBO’s “True Detective”), Jack Kilmer (The Nice Guys, Val), and Cole Hauser (“Yellowstone”). Written, directed, and produced by Brian Skiba (The 2nd, Pursuit) under his banner SkibaVision, the film is based on the story of popular graphic novel, “No Rest of the Wicked – Dead Man’s Hand”, from authors Kevin Minor and Matthew Minor. WOLF HOUND: Lionsgate’s Grindstone Acquires WWII Thriller For Summer Release
Lionsgate’s Grindstone Entertainment Group has acquired the North American rights to the upcoming World War II action thriller, Wolf Hound. The film is debut directed by Michael B. Chait from a screenplay storied by Chait and written by co-producer Timothy Ritchey. Wolf Hound is inspired by the real-life Nazi special operations unit KG 200 that shot down, repaired, and flew Allied aircraft as Trojan horses, and stars James Maslow (Big Time Rush) as Captain David Holden, a Jewish-American fighter pilot, and Trevor Donovan (90210, the upcoming Reagan) as Nazi ace Major Erich Roth.
