While fans await further updates on actor Mike Colter‘s plans as Luke Cage ahead of Netflix’s future programming, gaming fans can finally catch him on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD in the upcoming release of Microsoft Studios’s latest live-action treatment, Halo: Nightfall from director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan. March 17 is the date of its release following its previous exclusive availability within the Halo Master Chief Collectionfor Xbox One users. Some projects fall short of expectations while others amazingly succeed, and this November, Microsoft and producer Ridley Scott are looking to see what they can bring with the forthcoming release of the new series, Halo: Nightfall. E3: Night 'Falls' On Microsoft With A New HALO Live-Action Series

With events at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in full swing, we are bound to hear some amazing things happening in the world of gaming lore, with the world of film and television also thrown in the mix. On Monday, Microsoft has announced it will be working on a new live action Halo series with producer Ridley Scott to package with this Fall’s upcoming November 11, 2014 release of all four games on one disc for the Xbox One titled “The Master Chief Collection”. The new series will be titled Halo: Nightfall, directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Battlestar Galactica), and will introduce a key new character in next year’s release of the fifth game in the franchise, Halo 5: Guardians, which releases to the public this December.
