Marvel’s Thunderbolts* are coming, at long last with an official teaser trailer now up to signal fans with the latest move in the post-Endgame comic book saga following Black Widow and Disney+ series Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Jake Schreier directs the pic starring Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Sebastian Stan and Lewis Pullman, and more. There’s no official logline yet, but gather as much as you will from the footage below as there’s plenty to sift through. This thing was leaked online a while back too, but it’s nice to see an asset like this with way more clarity than something spy-shot from an angle, which is pretty lame. Beyond that, May 2, 2025 is the date!
Production is set to start this spring in Minnesota as Hannah John-Kamen (Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp and the upcoming Thunderbolts) and Theo Rossi (FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” Emily the Criminal) are both set to star in the new sci-fi thriller, Rachel. The film will be directed by Jenn Wexler who debut-directed SXSW horror film The Ranger and is completing post-production on The Sacrifice Game, starring Mena Massoud and Olivia Scott Welch, and is written by playwright Vincent Delaney. In Wexler’s Rachel, John-Kamen will star in the title role, described as “a new mother with the perfect life except she doesn’t recall the recent birth of her baby boy or even being pregnant. Her cookie-cutter husband Stephen (Rossi) deflects her probing questions as strange neighbors begin stalking her. Flooded with memories of an 11-year-old girl who seemed to be her daughter, Rachel’s perfectly constructed world begins to tear apart. Is […]
Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man And The Wasp, Ready Player One, upcoming Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City) will take up the sword in Red Sonja for Millennium Films. Casting comes following the attachment of Netflix/Legendary’s upcoming animated Tomb Raider series writer/exec producer, Tasha Huo. The move marks the latest film effort since Richard Fleischer’s Brigitte Nielsen/Arnold Schwarzenegger, 1985 adaptation of the on-going 1970s comic from Dynamite Entertainment; Fleischer’s movie bombed critically and commerically but sustained a cult following over the years through merchandising, and a TV incarnation adaptation in the 1990s, years before news arose of remake efforts as of 2018. The character was originally recreated by Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor with partial inspiration from Robert E. Howard’s own shortstory work from the 1930s, and centers on a young girl from the Western Hyrkanian steppes who trains and sets out to seek revenge for her own rape and the […]
