HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE 2: End Of Sky Gets Brutal And Emotive In The Newest Trailer

It’s been nearly two years since the LDH, Inc’s HiGH&LOW project, shepherded by producer Exile Hiro, with two shows and a slate of films that will now culminate with a two-part finale this year. For that, I reckon it’ll be another few years thereafter until we hear more on overseas distribution should we be so lucky, and I can only hope this is at least the case as much as I’ve been following this particular franchise. That’s a two-season drama and a five-film run with two of those being spin-offs therein, featuring a stellar line-up of actors and notables of J-pop supergroup Exile Tribe as the franchise chronicles the events within a town fractured by gangs and the interwoven politics of its leaders. Japan’s bustling action crime saga, HIGH&LOW, is now past the halfway point after debuting two exclusive TV dramas, an origin movie, a first feature and a character spin-off in the last two years. On August 19, Shochiku will follow through with two remaining feature film titles starting with the latest, HiGH&LOW: The Movie 2 – End Of Sky, led by its ensemble cast of today’s biggest actors and popstars, many stemming from the auspices of LDH, Inc. Members of SWORD win against Wangan Rengogun, which is led by Kohaku. The city becomes peaceful again. Nevertheless, the most brutal gangs appear. The gangs are Doubt, led by Hayashi Ranmaru, and Prison Gang, led by Jeshi. These gangs try to dominate the area controlled by SWORD. The new gangs also go up against other gangs in the area. Determine what you may with the currently-active HIGH&LOW series and film saga. Following its Japan debut in late 2015 and its renewal along with the feature films that came after, it’s clear that the folks at Shochiku and at Japanese talent agency LDH, inc. had something fresh on its hands when initial trailers and posters popped up. Boasting some major big time stuntwork and high-caliber action to accomodate the drama on the big and small screens, HiGH&LOW ramped up its case setting up camp in the town of Mugen, now splintered between five deadly gangs and with two mysterious pot-stirrers getting in the mix with the gang collective now known as S.W.O.R.D.. The Epic Gang Saga Continues In The First Teaser For HiGH&LOW THE MOVIE 2: END OF SKY

I couldn’t tell you much about LDH and NTV or their innerworkings on any given day, except for what little I know of Japanese supergroup Exile Tribe and their stunning reign in TV and film as of late 2015 with in-house megaproject, HiGH&LOW. It’s only been available in Japan with its first two seasons of HiGH&LOW: The Story Of S.W.O.R.D. featuring the brewing drama and explosive action as gangs and crime families battle each other for dominance in a town divided by five warring territories. Apart from live concerts and events (the music itself kicks ass too), the saga ultimately led to last summer’s feature film debut with Kubo Shigeaki’s HiGH&LOW: The Movie, followed by its subsequent spin-off, HiGH&LOW: The Red Rain from Yamaguchi Yudai, and now Shochiku is poised to follow up on its trilogy with two more titles between August 19 and November.
