If you’re a fan of Kaiju film lore, feast your eyes on the poster for Nezura 1964, which is opening in Japan this December from 3Y Co., Ltd. JP. Hiroto Yokokawa (The Great Buddha Arrival) is directing and producing the upcoming dramatic biopic from a script he wrote with Kensaku Sakai. The film centers on the imminent demise of the Hitchcock-inspired Kaiju feature film by then-Daiei Motion Picture Company, who wanted to develop a property to compete with rivaling studio Toho in the wake of its successes with Godzilla.
