HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS: Landmark Indie Action Comedy Lands April Release Date On Digital, Premium Pricing Plan Revealed

Black-and-white action adventure comedy Hundreds Of Beavers has been acquired by Filmhub. A release date is set for April 15 for rental or purchase via Amazon and Apple, with an exclusive SVOD release via Fandor starting April 19. The move marks the latest milestone for the team, director Mike Cheslik and star Ryland Brickson Cole Tews, since taking the film on the road via festivals in the last few years. The film is currently a North American tour in select cities. The production team has also announced a premium pricing plan with rentals at $9.99, and purchases at $19.99. “We chose Filmhub because they allow us to control our rights, so more money goes directly to the artists. Director Mike Cheslik’s new comedy feature, Hundreds Of Beavers, has officially begun its North American rollout after making the rounds with its Great Lakes Roadshow beginning in January. Cheslik reteams with actor Ryland Brickson Cole Tews following their previous work on 2018’s Lake Michigan Monster. Filmed in the span of four years between Michigan and Wisconsin, Tews stars in Hundreds Of Beavers from a script he and Cheslik wrote for a story that combines robust live-action slapstick and thrills with zany cartoon spectacle and laughs. The film has been running the festival circuit for nearly a year since its world premiere last year at Fantastic Fest, and just picked up another festive screening at Fantasia Festival in Montreal. Featuring action and stunt sequences by Jon Truei, Hundreds Of Beavers reteams Cheslik with Ryland Brickson Cole Tews who stars in the snow-driven silent adventure as Jean Kayak, a happy-go-lucky 19th century drunkard whose applejack business is destroyed by an intrusive beaver population, forcing him to survive the bitter wilderness with the occasional merchant trade.
