PROMARE: ‘Gurren Lagann’ Duo Reunite For New Sci-Fi Action Anime Feature From Toho In May
If director Imaishi Hiroyuki ever blew your mind in the last ten years or so with Gainax’s Gurren Lagann and the sci-fi female-fronted Kill La Kill housed under his Studio Trigger banner, you’ll be pleased to learn that he’s reteaming once more with writer Nakashima Kazuki for a brand new feature animated movie. Promare is the name and it’s already garnered the attention of the fandom quite a bit following news broken last week on Twitter. Studio Trigger is partnered with XFLAG and Sanzigen for the production which was announced back in 2017 and with word that Toho will be releasing the film in Japan beginning in May.
