Screen International brought the latest look at A71 Productions’ recently completed thriller, She Never Died. The film, which wrapped in North Bay, Canada several days ago, stands as a sister sequel to Jason Krawczyk’s 2015 crowdfunded action horror, He Never Died, in which Henry Rollins played a social recluse with a biblical past whose penchant for eating people finds him rescuing his long lost daughter from a vengeful crimeboss’s kidnapping. That film stands to get a sequel from Krawczyk following its announcement back in February. Much to the delight of those who enjoyed the 2015 film, Krawczyk also penned this particular venture directed by Audrey Cummings who co-stars with starring upcoming Chaos Walking co-star, actress Olunike Adeliyi who leads the narrative. I’m not entirely sure this film will take on the same brooding, blackly comedic tones, but I don’t really see a departure from it just yet, and the premise […]
It’s not easy to crowdfund a film. Such was the case for filmmaker Jason Krawczyk who, despite falling short of Indiegogo goals, managed to push forward for his third feature length pic, He Never Died, a semi-supernatural tale dipped in blood and family drama about a social recluse with a biblical past whose penchant for eating people finds him rescuing his long lost daughter from a vengeful crimeboss’s kidnapping. The film eventually saw screens at SXSW in 2015 before hitting audiences in theaters and via streaming. Fast forward three years later and whatever the case might have been since then, it seems Krawczyk is now in line to shepherd a sequel per The Hollywood Reporter out of Berlin with Sons of Anarchy series and Bad Boys 2 co-star, actor Henry Rollins reprising the role that marked his feature debuted. There’s no word yet on further casting while Krawczyk plots a […]
Director Jason Krawzcyk’s latest film comes with hefty praise from critics earlier this year at SXSW. Clearly they see his latest horror comedy, He Never Died, well worth catching in theaters this month which actor Henry Rollins pushed for in a recent crowdfunding campaign nearly a month ago to help bring the film to the big screen. As such, Vertical Entertainment is releasing it in the U.S., and now we have an update from Canada’s Raven Banner with an announcement of their own. Raven Banner Entertainment and Vertical Entertainment presents HE NEVER DIED directed by Jason Krawczyk starring Henry Rollins Opens December 18 In Toronto The Royal – 608 College St. and also available on VOD/iTunes the same date (Toronto – December 14, 2015) HE NEVER DIED is directed by Jason Krawczyk and will be released in Toronto by Raven Banner Entertainment and Vertical Entertainment, December 18, screening at The […]
Director Jason Krawczyk‘s new horror comedy, He Never Died, has plenty to feed off of from its residual acclaim following SXSW earlier this year. It’s finally making its way to theaters on December 18 following earlier crowdfunding efforts which are currently on-going, although to that effect, we now have a work-safe trailer which grants us all the same – a carnivorous, cantankerous and brazen badass character in actor Henry Rollins who finds a new lease on other than at the bottom of a bottle sitting at Bingo. SYNOPSIS: In HE NEVER DIED, Jack (Henry Rollins) is in a rut. His existence has been whittled down to sleeping and watching TV and he sees the human race as little more than meat with a pulse. When Jack suddenly finds his long lost daughter taken by the city’s crime syndicate, he must combat his inner demons as he embarks on a bloody […]
Former 80’s punk band Black Flag member, radio host, author and overall multihyphenate, actor Henry Rollins has been at it the last few years with his forthcoming role in The Briefcase helmer Jason Krawczyk‘s new hyper-violent horror comedy, He Never Died. Filming began back in 2013 with a script from Krawczyk which centers on Rollins as a cannibal with a seemingly prolonged lifespan, whose life as a depressed loner is shaken when his past comes back in the form of a daughter he hadn’t seen in years. The red-band trailer is officially out following the film’s acquisition by Vertical Entertainment back in May with rave reviews stemming from its premiere at SXSW in the Spring early this year. Plans also include to extend this into an eight-episode series which looks absolutely pleasing with tons of potential….but, first things first, as the new NSFW trailer welcomes a brand new crowdfunding campaign […]
