What’s Your Favorite Anime?

Trigger The past few years have grown on me as I’ve tried to consume as much programmimg as possible with my return to anime, especially in the wake of so many live action adaptation. Shows like Keijo, Death Parade, Samurai Champloo, Ajin, Hunter X Hunter, RWBY and Kurumanda Masami’s 1986 classic, Saint Seiya: Sanctuary, have all been okay to pass the time with, but I’ve grown into several favorites along the way. Kill La Kill, hailed from the director of Gurren Lagann, comes first among the bunch as one of the more memorable ones for me. Miike Takashi’s JOJO’S BIZZARE ADVENTURE Shines Bright Like A Diamond With A New Poster And A Slick First Teaser

Miike Takashi is well on the way with his latest, Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure hitting screens in Japan this August. Indeed, the story does reach some seriously bizzare and weird points which makes a guy like Miike such a fitting director as he has a knack for approaching oddities at great depth on film. Such is what we now get in his latest follow-up from working on recent titles like Yakuza Apocalypse and Terra Formars and the forthcoming Blade Of The Immortal which opens in April. JOJO’S BIZZARE ADVENTURE: Take A Gander At All Seven Character Posters For Miike Takashi’s New Live-Action Adaptation

Hopefully not too far off from an official teaser or trailer until its August release, the seventh and presumably final character poster arrived for Miike Takashi’s live-action adaptation of JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure. The poster showcases actor Iseya Yusuke who takes on the role of Kujo Jotaro, a stand user who initially appears in the Stardust Crusaders arc of the original manga by author Araki Hirohiko, and subsequently in the Diamond Is Unbreakable arc on which the film is based. Iseya is joined by lead actor Yamazaki Kento who plays Higashikata Josuke, a high school student who comes from a long line of users of Stands – entities that when summoned can momentarily exhibit unique abilities. I’ve only recently been getting a handle of the animated succession of Araki Hirohiko’s original manga, Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure, and I have to say it’s already become quite a ride. As it is, story deals with the…well… bizzare… saga involving the Joestar family in its epic battles with users capable of conjuring powerful spirits known as Stands. Here, our film gives us the live-action take on the fourth phase of the saga, “Diamond Is Unbreakable”, with actor Yamazaki Kento in the role of Higashikata Josuke, a high school freshman known for a short temper the minute someone rags about his hair. Miike Steps Into Live-Action JOJO'S BIZZARE ADVENTURE For A Summer 2017 Release

With an adaptation of Samura Hiroaki’s Blade Of The Immortal still looming, acclaimed filmmaker Miike Takashi is now off to another endeavor with news of the forthcoming live-action foray, Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure. Warner Bros. and Toho are reportedly aiming to produce the film for a release next Summer, based on Araki Hirohiko’s eight-part manga with emphasis on the fourth installation, “Diamond Is Unbreakable”. via Anime News Network: The story is set in Morioh, located in S City in M Prefecture of Japan, and it follows the misadventures of Jōsuke Higashikata and his companions, as they are involved in a series of bizarre incidents in their town. Araki launched the manga via Shueisha in 1987 before following in the years after with light novels, video games and a slate of animated series and films.
