THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU Feature Continuation Of The Hit Show Films This Year!

The next phase of “The Mandalorian” is in development for the big screen as the trades are reporting as of Tuesday. Series exec producer Jon Favreau is on board to direct, as well as produce alongside Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni. Tilted The Mandalorian & Grogu, the new film follows up on the three-season success of the hit aforementioned series which launched in 2019, spotlighting a new arc in the sprawling Star Wars saga with actor Pedro Pascal in the title role. A new story teased by the end of Season Two of The Mandalorian has finally received a trailer and release date. The Book of Boba Fett features the return of the beloved bounty hunter, as well as new characters as Fett returns to Tatooine. In the wake of the death of Jabba the Hutt, the criminal underworld has found a void of power. Fett makes a play to gather power on Tatooine by trying to create a new alliance of the underworld’s key players on the planet, but in the galaxy of Star Wars, things are never that simple. Unless you’ve been living under a rock these past few months, you know that Disney has officially launched their own streaming service, DisneyPlus. This service has a huge library including films released from the vault, Marvel movies, nostalgic TV shows and movies (Eek! Boy Meets World, Camp Nowhere!), original shows, and all things Star Wars. The panel over at Star Wars Celebration this weekend for upcoming series, The Mandalorian, were reluctant to reveal any footage in the live-stream beyond the indoor crowd (save for the ones who braved it with their phones and leaked it on YouTube). Nevertheless, Disney/Lucasfilm proudly revealed several first looks at some of the key characters in costume via social media which you can view below. After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. The announcement caused a stir on Thursday but word that Jon Faveau has been tapped to steer a forthcoming live-action Star Wars series is enticing enough for fans. I get the ballyhoo though, and frankly, I’m not discussing the supposed controversy here – otherwise just Google it and make your own judgments.
