What is Project: THRONE?

…That is the question, and it’s a pretty simple one, although very, VERY little is being willfully said about it since its conception earlier on. For now though, what we can go by is the information currently on display at its official Facebook page, including key names and companies, a very slow feed of stills, and a description that goes a little something like this: “THRONE” is the an epic, action-adventure film from Halvon Corps. Watch The New Trailer For HERCULES REBORN!

Because you can never have enough Hercules in your life, The Asylum has itself a new trailer for its own claim on the classic mythological hero in director Nick Lyon’s new action adventure thriller, Hercules Reborn. WWE wrestler-turned-actor John Hennigan (Jumpstart) takes the lead as the titular role in this particular smaller-scale approach compared to its bigger-budget iteration by way of MGM. Still, judging by the trailer, it hits some nice beats here and there. The film was also written by Barrio Brawler helmer Jose Montesinos and arrives on DVD on July 8. SYNOPSIS: When a young man’s bride is kidnapped by an evil king, he turns to Hercules for help. The fallen hero has been living in exile, banished for killing his family, but the young man’s courage inspires Hercules. Together, they fight to rescue the bride and reclaim Hercules’ honor.

In case the world still hasn’t taken notice, there is an area of the athletic world that aspires to share its community through film and finally make the transition to much bigger feature-length vehicles unlike much of what is seen in Hollywood. For five year freerunning veteran and independent filmmaker, co-writer/producer Robbie Corbett, similar sentiments could not be more clearer for his latest crowdfunded directorial shortfilm debut, JumpStart. A production of Balls 2 The Wall & PMV Entertainment, JumpStart looks like it has all the trimmings of a great piece of indie film with suspense, espionage, action and screenfighting.
