Its been thirteen years since anyone watching the news witnessed the unfolding events taking place between warring vessels on the Yellow Sea. It’s an event in human history well noted in director Kim Hak-Soon‘s latest return to the director’s chair, Northern Limit Line, which released in South Korea last month on June 24 commemorating the lives of those lost in the unfortunate tragedy that ensued as a South Korean patrol ship was ambushed by the North along the disputed demarcation line. Actors Gim Mu-yeol, Jin Goo, and Lee Hyun-woo lead the principle cast for the film’s story which centers on those very lives with segments by survivors of the incident itself engaging the viewer with exclusive perspective.
