KITTY THE KILLER Claws In A U.S. Theatrical And Digital Release In May. Catch The Trailer!

Epic Pictures Group has since unveiled the official trailer for slick Thai assassin thriller comedy, Kitty The Killer. The film that earned its director Lee Thongkam the Daniel A. Craft Award for Excellence in Action Cinema at last year’s NYAFF is set to release in theaters on May 3, followed by a digital platform release on May 7. Ploypailin Thangprapaporn leads the cast along with Denkhun Ngamnet, Somchai Khemklad and Vithaya Pansringarm for the story that pays ardent homage to the stylings of Timur Bekmambetov, Quentin Tarantino and Edgar Wright. For this, we get a tale of an office worker thrust into a world of seedy criminal underworld politics and skullduggery, wherein he’s handed the title of Guardian, and inducted into a vast organization of clandestine assassins known as “Kitties”. My earlier pursuits of stunts and indie action coverage soon led me to an obscure title that was either filming or in production. I can’t honestly say as to which because as much as I tried to find out more info about dystopian thriller The Last One, my searches always came short. It’s director, Lee Thongkam, remained as elusive as almost any presumably busy film creative whenever I messaged and posed a question. Thai action is coming to local cinemas with next week’s release of assassin thriller, Kitty The Killer from director Lee Thongkam. The official trailer arrived last month as well following its teaser while the film’s movement is now getting bolstered by some serious attention with a premiere at this year’s New York Asian Film Festival. I suppose a heads-up is in order with the pending official line-up. Yes? Yes. Dina, a girl trained to become an assassin, works with Keng (‘The Gray Fox Guardian’), but one day, Keng is betrayed by his organisation. Keng meets Charlie, an ordinary office worker and develops a special connection with him. Teaser: KITTY THE KILLER Leaps In For A Fatal Blow!

It won’t be long now before we get an official trailer, but the current teaser making the rounds for Thai assassin thriller Kitty The Killer is finally catching on after several weeks of online movement. The film is directed by Lee Thongkam who last scored big with creature thriller, The Lake, and teams Thongkam with actress Ploy Pailin (or Ploypailin Tangprapaporn), who plays a member of a millennia-old secret society of women assassins born and bred from childhood. Somchai Kemglad, Denkhun Ngamnet, and Ninja 2 co-star Vithaya Pansringarm also star in the film which is currently in post production ahead of a June 22 release in Thailand from Luna Pictures.
