FLESH OF THE GODS: Kristen Stewart, Oscar Isaac Tapped For Vampire Thriller From ‘Mandy’ Director

Kristen Stewart (Love Lies Bleeding) and Oscar Isaac (The Card Cou6nter) will star in Flesh Of The Gods, a new vampire thriller from Mandy director Panos Cosmatos. Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, 8MM, Netflix’s The Killer) penned the script he and Cosmatos storied, with plans to shoot later this year. Set in glittering 80’s Los Angeles, Flesh Of The Gods focuses on married couple Raoul (Isaac) and Alex (Stewart). Each evening they descend from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into the city’s electric nighttime realm. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic “Nameless” and her hard-partying cabal, the two are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence. A24 got the ball rolling about a month ago with the first official trailer for director Rose Glass’s titilating new crime thriller, Love Lies Bleeding. As the film nears its March 8 select release and expanded March 15 rollout, the newest trailer is here which you can catch above, as well as a trio of character posters to help bide our time. Love Lies Bleeding is led by Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian and Ed Harris and tells of a reclusive gym manager named Lou (Stewart) who falls hard for Jackie (O’Brian), an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. It was back in 2015 that actress Elizabeth Banks would then follow-up her feature debut, Pitch Perfect 2, with a second outing as director behind Sony’s upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot. That hasn’t changed, and with a trio of actress now officially listing Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper), Naomi Scott in her reunion with Banks since Power Rangers and British actress Ella Balinska (Midsomer Murders) to headline the new revival of the classic all-female 1976 crimefighting espionage spy TV series. It’s been a few years since we last learned that actress/director Elizabeth Banks would helm a theatrical reinstatement of classic television property, Charlie’s Angels. This week, casting is reportedly underway and several names are in the mix for roles, including those of actresses Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong’o. Banks, director of the hit musical comedy sequel, Pitch Perfect 2, will also produce the film for Sony Pictures with her husband Max Handelman. Based on the popular ABC series from 1976 to 1981, Charlie’s Angels centered on three women, accompanied by their associate, Bosley, who work various assigmments as private investigators for the Townsend Agency at the behest of actor John Forsythe’s speakerphone voice. Netflix We are officially ten days away from the Netflix premiere of Marvel’s martial arts fantasy series, Iron Fist in which actress Jessica Henwick is expected to be seen. In the meantime, you can chalk, Underwater, as another achievement for the British actress with word via Variety confirming her attached role next to that of actress Kristen Stewart. Production is around the corner and set for New Orleans, Lousiana from 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment with a story that focuses on a jaded science crew member forced to go on a dangerous mission following an Earthquake; the overall plot of the film is best described as Michael Bay’s deep sea version of Armageddon. The Signal helmer Will Eubank is directing.

AMERICAN ULTRA Gets The Home Release Treatment This November

I have to say, it was worth checking out actor Jesse Eisenberg and actress Kristen Stewart in Nima Nourizadeh‘s latest, American Ultra. It does contain an awful share of annoying moments of excess from Eisenberg‘s character as a psychologically-cracked weed head who doesn’t know head from tail about what’s going on most of the time, but it’s the overall character development amid the explosive and gruesome action that makes it all the more redeeming. This, coupled with Stewart‘s performance as well as that of Topher Grace, Connie Britton, Walter Goggins and Bill Pullman, and you’re left with a zany comedy that can be really engaging and fun to look at, and you won’t walk away from too many regrets. I’d say this one is definitely worth the home purchase or rental on a rainy day, so make note when the film releases on Digital HD on November 10 and on Blu-ray […]

If you’re still having trouble absorbing actor Jesse Eisenberg as the lead of an action film, you’re not alone. Beyond that, it appears director Nima Nourizadeh and writer Max Landis have found a way to make it work with just a month to go before the release of the new action comedy, American Ultra, with Eisenberg as a stoner with a trigger that goes off and awakens a skillset that pretty much allows him to kick all of the asses.
