The Netherlands will look to take the spotlight come next year with Kung Fu Lion, the newest from Dutch director Froukje Tan. It was funded in 2021 and shot and completed earlier this year and with a cast led by former Dutch karate champion Tyrell Williams and avid kung fu wunderkind Haye Lee both making their debut feature film appearances. 14-year-old Jimmy is fanatical, strong and one of the best Kung Fu students in his school. As the roster of the new lion dance team is put together, Jimmy sees his dream of dancing in the lion’s head shattered.
