OCCUPATION: Luke Sparke’s Alien Invasion Sci-Fi Saga Lines Up Five More For ‘RAINFALL’ Trilogy

Director Luke Sparke is setting in motion the next installment of his Occupation alien invasion saga with Occupation: Rainfall Chapter 2, and is casting Jeremy Piven (Rock n Rolla, Entourage), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Van Helsing, Bombshell, upcoming Step Up: High Water), Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) and Danny Trejo (Machete) in the new outing. The quintet will join the returning ensemble of actors from the previous films including the voice of Jason Isaacs, Jet Tranter, Dan Ewing, Zac Garred, Charles Mesure, and Dena Kaplan. THE CLEARING Trailer: Liam McIntyre And Sydelle Noel Battle Family Woes And The Ferocious Undead

It’s almost surprising that it’s been three years since the production of David Matalon’s new horror thriller, The Clearing. The wait is over though, and now Crackle viewers can take a gander at the official trailer from Bloody Disgusting. Set at the dawn of a zombie apocalypse, The Clearing unfolds amid tensions between Tom (McIntyre) and his wife (Sydelle Noel) over his parental responsibilities and the time he spends with his young daughter Mira (Aundrea Smith). Tom takes Mira on a camping trip, only to discover the impending disaster that leaves the pair trapped in a clearing in the woods, fighting to make it out alive. The Clearing streams only on Crackle beginning June 4.

Spartacus: War Of The Damned alum, actor Liam McIntyre now brings forth progress with Netflix series GLOW co-star Sydelle Noel on Dave Matalon’s feature film debut, The Clearing. The film is now reportedly shooting in Los Angeles and with newcomer Aundrea Smith and actor Stephen Swadling also starring. Matalon is directing from his own script which sees McIntyre as Tom, embroiled in tensions with his wife over the time he spends with his young daughter Mira. To resolve things, Tom takes Mira on a camping trip only for the two to find themselves swept in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, trapped and fighting for their lives. Mark Mathias Sayre and Jonathan Piumelli are producing alongside Christopher Wolfe and Swadling. Ryan O’Quinn, Wes Halula, and Michael Davis serve as executive producers. (Deadline)
