The Terror Live director Kim Byung-woo is diving audiences head-first into fantasy with The Prophet: Omniscient Reader. Lotte is at EFM this week selling to buyers and just revealed a teaser which you can below. When the apocalyptic world depicted in a serial novel suddenly becomes reality, ordinary Kim Dok-ja (Ahn Hyo-seop), the only person who knows how the novel ends – must team up with his companions to rescue the novel’s omnipotent hero, Yoo Jeong-hyuk (Lee Min-ho) and save humanity. The film is based on author duo singNsong’s 2018 webtoon and is produced by Realies Pictures, the same studio behind the first and second installments of Kim Yong-hwa’s Along With The Gods adaptations. Also starring are Chae Soo-bin, Shin Sung-ho, Nana, and BLACKPINK’s JiSoo for the film’s July TBA release. Catch the teaser!

Holy Night is team that fights against groups that worships demons. The members of the Holy Night team are Bau (Ma Dong-Seok), Sharon (Seohyun) and Kim-kun (David Lee). Bau’s special ability is his powerful physical strength. Sharon has an ability to identify demons and performs exorcisms. Kim-kun helps Bau and Sharon. Meanwhile, Psychiatrist Jung-won (Kyung Soo-Jin) visits the Holy Night team to save her younger sister Eun-seo (Jung Ji-So). A demon resides in Eunseo’s body. Director Um Tae-hwa’s fourth feature now arrives with a new trailer for Concrete Utopia. Big in scale and spectacle, the new survival epic is based in-part on a 2015 webtoon, with a cast that includes Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, Park Bo-young, and Park Ji-hu. The world has been reduced to rubble by a massive earthquake. While no one knows for sure how far the ruins stretch, or what the cause of the earthquake may be, in the heart of Seoul there is only one apartment building left standing. It is called Hwang Gung Apartments. As time passes, outsiders start coming in to Hwang Gung Apartments trying to escape the extreme cold. Before long, the apartment residents are unable to cope with the increasing numbers. Feeling a threat to their very survival, the residents enact a special measure. Staking their claim at the moment with presentations to buyers at Cannes, sales agent Lotte debuted the official international previews for director Ryoo Seung-wan’s latest political thriller, Escape From Mogadishu, which takes its cues from a real life incident in 1991. Diplomats from the North and South Korean embassies in Somalia attempt a daring joint escape from Mogadishu when the outbreak of civil war leaves them stranded. Escape From Mogadishu stars Kim Yoon-seok, Jo In-sung, Heo Joon-ho and Kim So-jin, and is set to release in South Korea from Lotte Cultureworks on July 28. Lee Suk-hoon’s Joseon era adventure, The Pirates, was such a remarkable hit in 2014 that six years later, Lotte is finally prioritizing a sequel with a new director, according to KOFIC‘s Pierce Conran. Launched as The Pirates: Goblin Flag, Kim Jung-Hoon (The Accidental Detective) is directing from a script by Chun Sung-il, which centers on a band of pirates vying for the lost treasure of the Goryeo royal family against a new rival. Chun also wrote The Pirates, which, to give you a scope in terms of the size and scale in case you haven’t seen it, involved an epic high seas search for the giant whale that swallowed the emperor’s royal seal. The film also went up against Kim Han-min’s own maritime adventure, The Admiral: Roaring Currents which was also a major hit. For those of you wondering just what the hell director Ryoo Seung-wan is up to, fret not! Lotte Entertainment is currently at AFM launching world sales and representing the celebrated filmmaker’s latest project, Mogadishu. Ryoo has actors Kim Yoon-seok, Zo In-sung and Huh Joon-ho starring in a story set in the late 1980s as North and South Korea are at an impasse over their campaigns to join the United Nations. Diplomats from both Koreas soon find themselves trapped amid Somalia’s explosive civil war in 1990 and must rely on each other to survive. The film was listed in Screen International Magazine’s South Korea column for Hot Projects. A dark forecast awaits Koala and Midnight Runners director Kim Joo-Hwan’s newest South Korean thriller, The Divine Fury, which is now slated for a July 31 release. The newest official poster is taking stage as well as an English-subbed version of a recent trailer just above. Kim reunites with Midnight Runners actor Park Seo-Joon who tackles the role of an MMA fighter with atheistic principles and a tragic past. When an affliction awakens through scars on his hands, questions begin to arise with hopeful answers through a chance meeting with an exorcist, sparking revelations about his own destiny and newfound abilities ahead of a forthcoming battle with an emissary of The Devil himself. Last year’s American Film Market saw some terrific strides for sales outlet Lotte Entertainment whose Fall packaging of Jason Kim’s new thriller, The Divine Fury, pre-sold to multiple territories. It wrapped production last Fall marking the latest reunion for Kim and his Midnight Runners star, actor Park Seo-Joon (The Chronicles Of Evil) who plays a martial arts champion imbued by divine powers to battle powerful evil force, a thrilling setup for what we now get to sample in the first teaser ahead of its summer release. Yong-hu, a world champion martial artist who believes in no God, only himself, suddenly develops stigmata on his palms.
