Fighting Spirit Film Festival 2021 Affirms September Dates, Feature Line-Up And More!

The next installment of the Fighting Spirit Film Festival for 2021 will be another constrained event, this year for further film festivities, and for remembrance of the fallen. Opening the festival’s two-day gathering at the Stratford Picturehouse on September 11 will be Bao Tran’s feature debut action comedy, The Paper Tigers. Ten years in the making and brought to life with the support of a global community, the film stars Alain Uy, Ron Yuan and Mykel Shannon Jenkins as three washed-up former kung fu disciples on a quest of self-discovery and old age as they’re faced with confronting the elite martial arts assassin who killed their Sifu. Altitude will release the film on Digital September 30. We’re counting down for a list of 100 titles to expect or hear more about in 2019! In case you haven’t been keeping up, we’re totaling 30 as of Monday. Here are the next five: Outbreak Z: An action choreographer and stuntman fresh from his run with Netflix’s third and final season of Daredevil, Chris Brewster is setting forth on his feature directing action horror debut which commences filming later this year or early next year. The story sees Callie and Ethan lead their team through an overrun college in search of a man who has possession of a possible vaccine to the ‘Zombie’ virus. Hopefully this will be, at the very least, a late 2019 arrival as we await further updates. 2016 has seen its fair share of stumbles for me, particularly in the interview department seeing as how I didn’t get to reach as many people as I wanted to.
