George Miller Corrects The Record, Promises More MAD MAX Films After 'Fury Road'

It took a matter of a few days but filmmaker George Miller had to clarify a few things after statements recorded for the Page Six Column of the New York Post went public. The subject in question pertained to whether or not he would direct more Mad Max films following his recent success with the fourth, Mad Max: Fury Road last summer. “I won’t make more ‘Mad Max’ movies,” said Miller as quoted in the original report. “‘Fury Road’ with Charlize Theron, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Riley Keough was forever getting completed. Last year was a tremendous year to be director George Miller. The release of his latest film, Mad Max: Fury Road was an otherwise culminating moment that ultimately proved beneficial at the box office as well as among critics, ultimately celebrating the return of an iconic film anti-hero. As such, having previously gone to the presses the following summer with mentions of at least a few more follow-ups from the epic desert road rage opera, the last thing you would believe is Miller ever retiring from the franchise for any reason.
