Rupture is now available on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. to rent or buy, as well as on Tubi to stream for free. The early days showed an optimistic air of promise as director Ranjeet Marwa emerged with an ambitious slate of projects that eventually took extended periods to develop into fruition. Less so with Exiled: The Chosen Ones as time passed, he remained steadfast having brought aboard U.K. actor and martial artist Mark Strange of Ip Man 4 fame with a lead role in the new revenge sci-fi action thriller, Rupture, a film which Marwa himself designated as a project that would finally cement him as a director to keep on the radar. This endeavor encapsulates a vision set in the fictional BioShock City which immediately sees our protagonist, Raven (Mark Strange), chewing through nearly all of an apartment’s residents with nothing short of violent intentions. His choices […]
Director Ranjeet Marwa is currently in post-production with suspense thriller, Dig Me No Grave, following wrap last month. More notably, he’s also in toe with sci-fi cyberpunk thriller, Rupture, with sales inquiries still out and are still on the table ahead of TBD release dates and a hopeful premiere in toe for this year’s seventh Fighting Spirit Film Festival in the UK. Until then, Marwa is continuing to roll out stills for the pic via social media which we’ve shared below. Starring Ip Man 4 actor Mark Strange in the lead role, Rupture centers on Raven, a recently freed man from prison who must confront the people who put him inside, effectively placing focus on whether or not revenge is or isn’t always the answer. Shally Amanda, James Jaysen Bryhan, David Lamont and Nick Khan also star. Peep the stills below!
Ranjeet S. Marwa will direct psychological horror thriller, Dig Me No Grave, later this month in the U.K.. The Birmingham-based filmmaker had been touting some preliminary artwork for the last few months (which you can check out below) as production ramped up. Casting has firstly added Warren Hicks, James Bryhan and Mark Strange, all rejoining Marwa from his previous work. Marwa will direct from a multi-award winning screenplay storied and written by Gary A. Piazza (upcoming Red Scarlett), which centers on an aging hunter who tangles with a bear and traps himself underneath its body for days before being found on death’s doorstep by a vengeful sociopath who terrorizes him in a remote cabin. “It’s a story about isolation, the human condition – both mentally and physically. What the human body is able to endure.” says Marwa. “Essentially, at it’s core, it’s a story about not only man V. nature, […]
New stills are on the horizon for UK actioner, Rupture, from director Ranjeet Marwa. Starring Ip Man 4 actor Mark Strange, the film centers on an ex-convict named Raven, out for revenge against those who wrongly put him behind bars. We shared a pack of stills back in September along with anecdotes from Marwa on the project who added a bit more context pertaining to Rupture, and its relationship to the previously completed Exiled: The Chosen Ones, which still awaits a 2022 release. “When people watch my previous movie Exiled they will notice the connections between the 2 movie.” Marwa said back in September. “I wanted to connect the worlds in a very small way and hopefully people will notice that.” That film stars Sunny Pang and Hannah Al Rashid, and sees a horde of prison inmates in a future dystopia, trapped in a kill facility where they’re forced to […]
Follow Ranjeet S. Marwa on Instagram to stay tuned for more information on his initially completed indie action thriller, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, as news awaits pending its Southeast Asian release. In the meantime, the official trailer for his latest indie sci-fi revenge feature, Rupture, is finally here following the teaser a few months back, with actor/martial artist Mark Strange (Redcon-1, Ip Man 4) starring. ‘Raven, a recently freed man from prison must confront the people who put him inside. However, revenge is not always the answer, redemption is.’ Also starring are David Lamont, Sean Cronin, James Bryhan, Nick Khan and Shally Amanda. Note the 2022 release as well, and as always, stay tuned!
Director Ranjeet S. Marwa took to social media this week to reveal a raft of new stills from upcoming independent feature thriller, Rupture, which is still in post-production. The stills below feature actors David Lamont and Jay Bryhan among the cast, led by starring actor and martial artist Mark Strange. The film is currently one of two that are in the pipeline for later this year going into 2022 with Marwa having toiled away at numerous projects between stops and starts in the last year and a half. Rupture filmed on location in Birmingham in the U.K. from early through the end of July, as the latest evolution of a project long in development, with Strange cast at the last minute. “Mark was a perfect fit,” said Marwa, as he spoke with us on the actor’s work in comparison to other projects. “He’s been in some phenomenal movies, but he […]
The work continues for director Ranjeet S. Marwa with the official trailer launch for revenge thriller indie, Rupture, starring Mark Strange (Avengement, Ip Man 4: The Finale). The film is one of two that Marwa has already completed with the first, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, still pending a release, with this latest endevaor setting course for next year. Raven, a recently freed man from prison must confront the people who put him inside. However, revenge is not always the answer, redemption is. Joining Strange are David Lamont, Sean Cronin, Shally Amanda, James Bryhan and Nick Khan among the roster. Check out the trailer above and follow the film on Instagram!
Something tells me that director Ranjeet S. Marwa is gonna take just a little more time rolling out the assets for his newest film, Rupture. That especially includes the first official poster which you can now view at the very bottom of the page. The project is the second following Exiled: The Chosen Ones, which had a heavy campaign ramp-up during and after post-production, and I am told that it’s still pending a release. So to say the least, I suspect 2022 will definitely be the year viewers will finally get acquainted just a little more (…I’m thinking festivals this year. *knocks on wood*) More to the point, it’ll be even better momentum for UK actor and martial artist Mark Strange since paying brief martial arts cinema homage opposite actor Danny Chan in Ip Man 4: The Finale. Strange, who also led the cast in Chee Keong Cheung’s sci-fi action […]
Production has long since wrapped about a week ago for Ranjeet S. Marwa’s new action thriller, Rupture, which is now in post-production. The team have been steadily rolling out stills from the film featuring starring actor and martial artist Mark Strange (Ip Man 4: The Finale, Redcon-1), the latest of which you can tap to enlarge above, courtesy of production. Production on Rupture comes following completion months ago on Marwa’s dark dystopian survival thriller indie, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, which could roll out later this year or early next, acquisition news pending. Marwa directs Rupture from a script and story treatment by Daniel White, and centers Strange in the role of Raven, a recently freed man from prison who must confront the people who put him inside, whilst mitigating the answer that truly lies at the core of his mission: Revenge, or redemption. Rounding out the cast are James Bryhan, […]
We’ve been allowed to present the first official still above for Ranjeet S. Marwa’s new dystopian action thriller, Rupture, featuring actor and action star Mark Strange (Redcon-1, Ip Man 4: The Finale). Production is already underway and in its second week with writer/director Ranjeet S. Marwa (upcoming Exiled: The Chosen Ones) at the helm for the Birmingham, UK shoot. Raven, a recently freed man from prison, must confront the people who put him inside. However, revenge is not always the answer, redemption is. Marwa directs from a script and story treatment by Daniel White, and with Indonesian TV actress Shally Amanda co-starring. Djonny Chen (Daemon Mind, Exiled: The Chosen Ones) is producing via Silent D Pictures with Marwa by way of Rocket Sky High Motion Pictures Ltd. Also producing are Charmaine Binji and Gurnam Singh Marwa, with Kiran Pandé (Redcon-1) serving as fight choreographer.
Pre-production has started for independent action thriller, Rupture, which has actor and martial artist Mark Strange (Ip Man 4: The Finale, Redcon-1) set to star. Cameras will roll in July in Birmingham, U.K. with Ranjeet S. Marwa (upcoming Exiled: The Chosen Ones) directing from a script and story treatment from Daniel White. Raven, a recently freed man from prison must confront the people who put him inside. However, revenge is not always the answer, redemption is. The project was moved up in light of Marwa having to push back a seperate project titled Berzerker, which would have had Malaysian actor and action star Hairul Azreen (Paskal, Wira) on set in the U.K. by now. I’m told that scheduling was the reason for the delay in addition to mitigating factors pertaining to the pandemic. The decision has also allowed Marwa to develop the project a little more in time for Azreen’s […]
Much is ado these days for UK director Chee Keong Cheung. His latest segue into action horror with zombie thriller, Redcon-1, is well underway in its campaign after a peculiar PR rollout which, as far as I know, began in Japan (as indicated by a Japanese captioned trailer I learned of over the summer). A U.S. release still remains pending for the film and time will tell before how much more waiting is needed on that end. In the meantime, the cast has been doing the promo rounds some, including actor, martial artist and producer Mark Strange who, after a heavy week of publicity last week, was able to answer some questions for us ahead of Thursday night’s Raindance premiere. Greetings Mark and thank you for taking the time to discuss a few things with us. How has the year been for you thusfar? This year’s been amazing, my best […]
Having already seen its way through festivals and with a UK fall date approaching, tickets are now on sale for Underground helmer Chee Keong Cheong’s long awaited military zombie epic, Redcon-1. And it looks absolutely fucking bonkers. A trailer actually went live last month and was actually in Taiwanese and so obviously it wouldn’t have come my way. Such is the nature of independent films with crazy PR handling and so you’re forgiven if you’d been waiting for trailer footage since the film’s production a few years ago. As I said though… this looks fucking bonkers; Shots of undead creatures performing articulate gymastics and kicking techniques are things that you wouldn’t normally expect from a zombie film unless you were watching a award-winning certain turn-of-the-century action horror indie from Kitamura Ryuhei. Alas, it’s definitely part of the narrative here though and it sells pretty well in the trailer, promising an […]
Director Chee Keong Cheung is finally poised to have his latest action horror epic presented at the American Film Market starting next werk. His most recent venture, Redcon-1, is finally in post production as per a recent press release over at Horror-Movies.ca which confirms the film’s wrap and post production following a ten week shoot with up to fifteen hundred extras and locations all over the U.S.. Carlos Gallardo (El Mariachi, Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico) and Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, executive produced the film which centers on a squad of 8 soldiers sent in to the U.K. to tackle combat-conscious zombies and rescue a scientist who might hold the key to ending the undead anarchy. Gallardo joins the cast which also lists Oris Erhuero (The Cursed Ones), Akira Koieyama (Street Fghter: Assassin’s Fist), former WWE/TNA wrestler Katarina Leigh Waters and co-star Mark […]
It’s been a while since actor Carlos Gallardo prolifically broke out in Robert Rodriguez’s 1992 Mexican spaghetti classic, El Mariachi. Nowadays, and long since starring in several Rodriguez helmers on top of others, you’ll likely find his name popping up a bit more with news now confirming his starring and producing role next to producer Kevin Eastman of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame for the new sci-fi action horror, Redcon-1. The folks at Epic Pictures have been shopping the film at Cannes marking helmer Chee Keong Cheong’s third turn at the director’s chair since the 2007 martial arts brawler, Underground and Bodyguard: A New Beginning in 2009. The project has been brewing for a few years now up to recent weeks in which filming set course in the U.K., with a story revolving around an octet of Special Forces on a suicide mission to rescue a scientist following a deadly […]
