Actor and filmmaker Alexander Nevsky’s return to the screen now brings us the first official trailer for Red Prophecies, presented first over at JoBlo on Wednesday. Development and production span several years with principal photography commencing in Moscow prior to the pandemic, before shooting in Los Angeles under Covid-safe regulations this past summer. An American journalist works in Moscow and finds himself embroiled in dangerous political games, the purpose of which is to destabilise the situation in Russia and then interfere with the holding of the 2020 Presidential election in the United States. The journalist begins his own investigation in order to uncover who is behind the operation “Red Prophecies”: special services, financial tycoons or international terrorists? Writer/director Frank Peluso had his day with audiences last month at SPIFFest in Los Angeles for his new dramatic thriller, Red Handed. High Octane Pictures now has a stake in its release on DVD and Digital beginning December 3. When their father is murdered, three brothers descend upon an Oregon mountain river to spread his ashes. After they arrive, one of their children goes missing. One of the brothers was himself abducted 30 years ago when they visited this same river, but he has blocked the incident out of his mind. Only by unlocking the mysteries inside his subconscious, will they be able find the child and return him to safety. The film is produced by Nick Cassavetes and Aaron Steele-Nicholson, and stars Christian Madsen, Owen Burke, Ryan Carnes and Kenzie Dalton, with Michael Biehn and Michael Madsen.
It’s been six years too long for some action fans through December with Cleopatra’s announced acquisition of director Salamat Mukhammed-Ali’s newly titled thriller, Diamond Cartel. For this, we now have an official trailer to headline the film’s forthcoming early 2017 release and while the film certainly looks aiming to please the usual guilty pleasures, it does boggle the mind that unlike Armand Assante and the late, great Peter O’Toole, co-star and martial arts star Don “The Dragon” Wilson gets dubbed over… …Odd. SYNOPSIS: The charismatic and ruthless Mussa makes a deal to purchase the Star of East Diamond from the Hong-Kong triad crime boss ‘Mr. Lo’ – but not before being robbed via an inside job by his own people aka former lovers Aliya and Ruslan. Aliya’s other former love interest and Mussa henchman gets involved setting up a veritable “who dunnit” love triangle versus Mussa over pursuit of his […]
Award-winning actor Peter O’Toole passed away in 2013, but that’s not stopping his film legacy from keeping him relevant. His final film to date, Salamat Mukhammed-Ali’s The Whole World At Our Feet is gearing up for a release early next year from Cleopatra Entertainment under the new title, Diamond Cartel, according to Deadline earlier this week. Not much is known about the plot of the Kazakh-produced Russo-English language film save for a vaguely descripted story of a series of criminal acts stemming from the impasse of a woman caught between three men who love her, including a criminal kingpin who takes her under his wing to appease his own lust for her, thus setting on an explosive and action-packed tale. Mukhammed-Ali wrote the script alomg with producer Dauren Mussa and co-scribe Magamet Bachev with a cast that joins O’Toole with an international mix of local stars and notables rounding out […]
Director Quentin Tarantino‘s latest film has quite the task to live up to with the impending releases of The Revenant, Point Break and Star Wars: The Force Awakens all releasing within a week part of each other. However, as extravagant as The Hateful Eight has been in the past few years up to now with the past several months giving us stills and a few posters to tease us with, it doesn’t appear to lessen the excitement much. Taratino didn’t miss a beat with his previous work on Django Unchained, so with this, he’s clearly in his element, and with a limited ceremonious Christmas release on 70mm Widescreen format, anyone looking forward to a glorious and gritty return to form in an awesome western will sure get it. SYNOPSIS: In THE HATEFUL EIGHT, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry […]
