● Long since the trailer campaign began for Roy Chow’s Dynasty Warriors, the film now has an official trailer ahead of its Hong Kong release on April 29. The film is based on the popular Koei Tecmo hack-and-slash videogame and stars Louis Koo, Wang Kai, Han Geng, Tony Yang and actresses Gulnazar, Carina Lau and Ray Lui. ● Trade reports confirmed on Wednesday that Without Remorse star Michael B. Jordan, long touted as the heir to the director’s chair for the third installment of the Creed saga, will in fact make his feature directing debut. Jordan’s performance in the first two films from Ryan Coogler and Stephen Caple Jr. have tacked on nearly $388 million dollars in succession of the Rocky franchise, with Sylvester Stallone bowing out of the iconic character in Creed 2. Misha Green To Produce Netflix-Acquired Action Spec, MOTHER

Fans of the hit series, Underground, may no longer have their favorite show after last week’s cancellation, but series creator Misha Green has other plans in store. Apparently it includes a deal closed with Netflix for the acquisition of a hot speculative script titled Mother which has Green producing with The LEGO Batman Movie producer Roy Lee. The film is being poised with franchise potential centering on its protaginist in the vein of Luc Besson classics such as Leon: The Professional and Le Femme Nikita. The script went out to buyers last week with Netflix nabbing it in a ticking clock bid with another studio. In about 11 hours as of this post, WGN America will be officially premiering its newest series, Underground with the first episode making its way for free on other platforms. Judging by the content alone, you can’t deny how intense and riveting it looks so far in the trailers and TV spots now available on the official YouTube channel, including the soundtrack which you can sample a bit on in a featurette with producer, recording artist John Legend.
