The long-burgeoning Bumilangit Cinematic Universe continues onward as fans were handed the most recent teaser poster this month for Virgo And The Sparklings. The film is directed by Ody C. Harahap (Skakmat, Hit & Run) and hails from SK Global and Screenplay Bumilangit following their announced partnership back in 2020. According to comic lore, the story centers around Riani, a teenager with the power to see the color of sound, and who must use her abilities with the help of her band when mysterious forces descend her city into chaos. Actor Joe Taslim‘s proliferation this week is at its most timely. His co-starring role kicks off on Cinemax with the Friday premiere of Bruce Lee-inspired series, Warrior, while the action star’s lead Indonesian theatrical debut in upcoming action comedy, Hit & Run, finally takes off this summer. Skakmat director Ody C. Harahap directs with Taslim front and center as Tegar, a celebrity cop whose mission to arrest a drug lord goes awry. Following along on actor Joe Taslim‘s Instagram feed likely brought about some gems worth taking note of for his career post-Netflix’s release of The Night Comes For Us. With any luck, director Timo Tjahjanto’s world-building affairs from that the blood-drenched action thriller will continue onward, while Taslim persists with other projects – namely the new action comedy, Hit N Run, from director Ody C. Harahap. Actor and martial artist Cecep Arif Rahman is making a killing this season with several things now happening. His latest appearance in Anggy Umbara’s sci-fi action thriller, 3, is getting some coverage next week at the Los Angeles Indonesian Film Festival, and he’s currently rehearsing with Amy Johnston for The Tank helmer Kellie Madison’s The Gate.
