THE PRINCESS WARRIOR Trailer Revealed For New Mongolian Action Adventure
Omnibus Entertainment is proudly staking itself in the latest pairing from debut director S. Baasanjargal and co-helmer Shuudertsetseg Baatarsuren, The Princess Warrior. The Mongolian action adventure was penned by Boldkhuyag Damdinsuren, and Baatarsuren whose 2017 novel serves as the basis for the film. Descended from Genghis Khan and skilled in all forms of military combat, Princess Khutulun (Tsedoo Munkhbat) is one of the fiercest warriors in the Mongol Empire. Despite her talents on the battlefield, Khutulun is still expected to marry, and her father, Kaidu Khan, arranges for a union with the prince of Pamir. But on the night when their emissaries meet, Kaidu is ambushed by an assassin sent by his sworn enemy Khubilai, and the Golden Sutra is stolen. THE PRINCESS WARRIOR Reimagines A Mongolian Legend This March From Film Movement
Omnibus Entertainment is proudly advancing Mongolian war epic, The Princess Warrior, for a release on digital and on-demand beginning March 8. The film marks the latest iteration of an historical heroine heralded over the last four centuries around the world in literature, theater and film, most notably in Giacomo Puccini’s famed opera, “Turandot.” Intially releasing in late 2021 from Shuuder Productions and Voo Broadcasting as Princess Khutulun, The Princess Warrior was debut-directed by S. Baasanjargal, and by celebrated author Baatarsuren Shuudertsetseg in her second directing credit following her 2013 solo debut, Queen Ahno – Spirit of a Warrior, based on her 2010 novel. Equally, The Princess Warrior takes its cues from Shuudertsetseg’s own 2017 publication.
