All eyes were on Popcon ASIA in Indonesia a few days ago as promotional bits ran for Randy Korompis’ roaring new sci-fi thriller, Foxtrot Six. A 2019 release date is in tow for Mario Kassar-produced directorial debut from Korompis and so as to keep patient fans attentive, six new character posters have arrived. Foxtrot Six is set in a dystopian Earth where food is scarce and Indonesia becomes ground zero for the fight for natural resources. Apart from this, all continues to be unknown about the story in relation to the very cast of characters we’re introduced to in the following artwork and with any luck we’ll learn more soon enough. Reports as early as December of 2015 confirmed that famed Rambo and Terminator franchise producer Mario Kassar’s participation in the development of high-end Asian sci-fi action thriller, Foxtrot Six. For this, we had info of The Raid and The Raid 2 producer Ario Sagantorio also on board as well as the addition of two martial arts stalwarts who worked on both films Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman. As things now stand with cinematographer and camera assistant Randy Korompis set to make his feature debut at the helm for the new film, this could very well serve as the stellar Indonesian action movie reunion fans might have been craving since the three cameoed in J.J. It was back in February that megahit film producer Mario Kassar made headlines with his reunion at Carolco Pictures as Chairman of the board. So what’s the famed Rambo and Terminator franchise producer been up to since then? Well, probably just tending to things at Carolco, although as of this week the public now has an idea of where he’s staking his claim next. Word has it from Variety that Kassar is on board to executive produce the upcoming Indonesian sci-fi actioner, Foxtrot Six from debut director Randy Korompis. The film is slated to begin shooting at the top of next year with locations set for Indonesia and the U.S. with two newly established production banners, Rapid Eye Pictures and East West Synergy also on board.
