Oh Seung-uk’s latest crime thriller is finally en route to a U.S. release next week!
The official trailer for director Oh Seung-uk’s new crime drama, Revolver, already started making the rounds last month at the 23rd Asian Film Festival of Dallas last month. That trailer is finally online with a release date now slated for August 23 in the states following its release in Korea last week. Su-young (JEON Do-yeon), a police detective who went to prison for someone else, is surprised when a mysterious woman named Yoon-sun (LIM Ji-yeon) arrives to collect her on her day of release. As she discovers that the promised compensation for her time behind bars has vanished, Su-young embarks on a mission to reclaim what rightfully belongs to her. Kill Boksoon star Jeon Do-yeon is back in the limelight nowadays as her latest role makes headway in crime thriller, Revolver. Jeon reunites with Oh Seung-uk with whom she worked on the helmer’s second feature, 2015’s The Shameless. Per Screen‘s Michael Rosser, Revolver stars Jeon “as an ex-police officer seeking revenge after serving a prison sentence for someone else and discovering that the promised compensation for her time behind bars has vanished.” The cast also lists Ji Chang-wook and Lim Ji-yeon, along with Kim Jun-han, Kim Jong-soo, and Jung Man-sik. Revolver is produced by Sanai Pictures and releases August 7 from Plus M. Check out the teaser and poster below!
