It was just a few days ago that actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted an Instagram picture indicating a pending announcement stating an upcoming announcement for a new buddy action comedy with a hugely vague hint on who his co-star would be. “…In the right lighting and camera angles, we could pass as twins.” he said, and of course that would throw almost anyone off and into an epic guessing game of who looks like the hulking actor. Needless to say, Tuesday’s news finally stated who that actor would be in the form of someone anyone would least expect, with word from Variety that comedian and actor Kevin Hart would be starring alongside Johnson in Dodgeball helmer Rawson Marshall Thurber‘s Central Intelligence, which will start filming next Spring for New Line Cinema. January 17, 2014 is the day that sees Universal Pictures’ latest pairing of actors Kevin Hart and 22 Jumpstreet co-star Ice Cube in the upcoming buddy action thriller, Ride Along. Directed by Tim Story, Ride Along features Hart and Cube in classic action comedy fashion in the story of a cop who reluctantly brings his sister’s boyfriend on a ride along to test his mettle and and prove his worthiness to marry his sister. The film is already poised for a sequel ahead of the film’s release, granted the film does well, of course. Yahoo! Movies unveiled the new trailer for the upcoming action-packed road comedy, Ride Along. Having reportedly greenlit a sequel, the new film from director Tim Story stars actors Kevin Hart, Ice Cube and Tika Sumpter in a story of a fast-talking security guard-turned-police academy trainee who whose first-hand on-field experience with a hard-as-nails detective will be the deciding factor on whether or not he will allow his sister to marry him. Universal Pictures has reportedly already greenlit a sequel to the January 17, 2014 release of director Tim Story‘s latest buddy cop action comedy, Ride Along.
