Director Tim Story is bringing back your favorite in-laws when his latest, Ride Along 2, arrives this January. This time, your favorite detective and his not-so-favorite new addition to the family are heading down to the sunshine state to take down yet another crime boss in the form of actor Benjamin Bratt, and here, they’re getting help from Olivia Munn and Ken Jeong to name a few. That’s a lot of players for this new go-around and it doesn’t end there with much more to learn about how they will all fit. In the meantime, the latest trailer has arrived with actor Kevin Hart doing what he does best, and Ice Cube, frowning slightly less but still frowning. What can you do?

Actor Kevin Hart and actress Tika Sumpter aren’t “Mr. and Mrs. Blackhammer” yet in director Tim Story‘s latest sequel follow-up, Ride Along 2, which is slightly discouraging what with all that the groom-to-be had to go through to prove himself to the disgruntled brother in-law played by Ice Cube. Director Tim Story‘s 2014 action comedy, Ride Along, felt slightly lukewarm than preferred while actor and comedian Kevin Hart helped carry the film’s much-needed comedy and slapstick. Whatever the case may be, the formula worked with lead actor Ice Cube in the mix along with Lawrence Fishburne and John Leguizamo as the film became the first title of the year to hold the number one spot for three consecutive weeks. Surely enough it set the tone for a sequel and following its announcement thereafter, Ride Along 2 is finally going viral with a new poster.
