I don’t know about the rest of you but I’ve about had it up to my forehead with all the debate and furor surrounding anything Star Wars. Though they share deservedly devout meaning and love from fans, the furor behind the fandom can be invariably exasperating most days as much as they’re just film’s – indeed, in all simplicity, they really are just movies. Love them or hate them. With Solo: A Star Wars Story, fans will undoubtedly get to weigh the pendulum come the film’s arrival on May 25. I know I’m still not completely behind the casting of Alden Ehrenrich in the title role but I’m not about to start a full-on petition to have Disney reshoot the movie scene-for-scene with Anthony Ingruber instead. Take what you will from the current outlook of director Nikolaj Arcel’s new movie, The Dark Tower. It may not appear as optimistic as one would hope, as THR suggests, but that doesn’t appear to be hindering Sony Pictures TV any in its own advancement of a small screen carry-over. The company, along with Media Rights Captial and Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) is reportedly eyeing a ten-to-thirteen episode first season with Mazzara serving as showrunner for a 2018 production launch. It’s been an eventful week for the Star Wars/Han Solo spin-off. The departure of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller due to their creative fallout with writer and executive producer Lawrence Kasdan has been a severely upsetting development for a lot of fans who might be keen on the film’s delivery aside from any previous measure of skepticism. Production remains on hiatus until July 10 as the studio tries to quell the upheaval and the first step they’ve now taken is finding a replacement, now confirmed with the attachment of In The Heart Of The Sea helmer Ron Howard.
