The newest red-band trailer is here for The Wrath Of Becky… and holy shit! Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman – a kindred spirit named Elena. But when a group known as the “Noble Men” break into their home, attack them, and take her beloved dog, Diego, Becky must return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones. You know what? Quiver Distribution could have just said, “They took her dog,” and went from there. We’re at that point now in action cinema fandom, TBVFH, and this trailer surely sells it, and much more. And Lulu Wilson has all but leveled up since the first film too, so… yeah. Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote were asked to bring it, and on May 26, consider it BRUNG!
It’s only a matter of days now before SXSW attendees will get to venture into the continued onslaught of the titular anti-heroine now featured in The Wrath Of Becky, with Lulu Wilson reprising her role from the inaugural 2020 thriller. The film also stars Seann William Scott who now brings a first major look at our new villain from directors Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote in the first teaser now available below, courtesy of IGN. After living off the grid for two years, Becky finds herself going toe to toe against Darryl, the leader of a fascist organization, on the eve of an organized attack. Angel himself co-stars in the pic along with Courtney Gains, Aaron Dalla Villa, Michael Sirow, Denise Burse, Jill Larson and Kate Siegel. It’s likely that Quiver Distribution will pick this one up for the U.S. as they did with the first film so keep them […]
I’m just as surprised and delighted as you are if you enjoyed Jonathan Millott and Cary Murnion’s 2020 thriller, Becky, and are new to the goings-on of its sequel reported on Wednesday via Deadline. If not, then you’ll be happy to learn that the film, Becky 2: The Wrath of Becky, just wrapped production with actress Lulu Wilson reprising her role now opposite actor Seann William Scott (Bloodline, Goon) who plays the villain. Becky saw Wilson in the role of the titular troubled and traumatized teen reluctantly informed of her father’s newfound relationship during their cabin getaway. When the cabin is violently invaded by a gang of escaped Nazi convicts, Becky plots course for bloody retribution. The sequel, written and directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote (The Open House), fast forwards Becky two years later after living off the grid and now going toe-to-toe against a fascist organization led […]
