NEED FOR SPEED Sequel In Talks For Co-Production Status With China Companies
It was no Fast And Furious run at the box office for director Scott Waugh’s 2014 live-action take on the Electronic Arts game franchise, Need For Speed, ultimatly falling short of its budget. However, the film did up to $200 million globally, which seems to be enough to get talks going for a sequel overseas according to Deadline. Three companies, China-based film production and distribution company, Jiaflix, is currently in early talks with China Movie Channel and 1905 Pictures, along with EA and Dreamworks Pictures in an effort to move forward with a deal.
